FAQ

What are DTF transfers?

DTF (Direct-to-Film) transfers are full-color heat-applied prints created by printing artwork onto a special film, applying adhesive powder, curing it, and pressing it onto garments using a heat press. DTF transfers support fine details, gradients, and vibrant colors without cutting or weeding. They work on cotton, polyester, blends, and many other fabrics. When applied correctly, DTF transfers create a smooth, flexible finish that stretches with the garment and resists cracking, peeling, and fading through repeated wear and washing.

What’s the difference between DTF by Size vs Gang Sheet Builder?

DTF by Size is used when you want a single design printed at a specific size. You choose the size, upload the artwork, and receive that exact print. The Gang Sheet Builder allows you to place multiple designs on one sheet. You can mix logos, sizes, and layouts to maximize space and reduce cost. Both options produce the same high-quality DTF transfers — the difference is only how artwork is arranged and priced.

What gang sheet sizes are available and how many designs fit?

All gang sheets are 22 inches wide. You select the sheet length based on your needs. The number of designs that fit depends on each design’s size and how efficiently they are arranged. Smaller designs allow more pieces per sheet, while larger designs take up more space. You may mix different designs and sizes on the same gang sheet as long as everything fits within the 22-inch width and selected length.

What is the minimum I can order?

There is no minimum order requirement. You may order a single transfer, one design, or a full gang sheet. This flexibility is ideal for testing new designs, creating samples, replacing logos, or fulfilling small custom orders. Whether you need one print or hundreds, every order receives the same production quality and attention to detail. No setup fees or quantity minimums apply.

What kind of press do I need?

A professional heat press is required to apply DTF transfers correctly. Home irons are not recommended because they do not provide consistent heat or pressure. A clamshell or swing-away heat press works best. The press must maintain steady temperature, firm even pressure, and a flat surface. Proper equipment ensures strong adhesion, smooth finishes, and long-lasting durability. Using incorrect tools may result in peeling, cracking, or incomplete bonding.

What file format should my artwork be?

Artwork should be high-resolution and print-ready. A resolution of 300 DPI is strongly recommended. Transparent background files produce the best results. Preferred formats include PNG and high-quality PDF files. Avoid screenshots, low-resolution images, or artwork taken from social media. Files are printed exactly as submitted, so customers are responsible for reviewing sizing, colors, and clarity before uploading.

How fast can I get my transfers?

Orders placed after 11:00 AM CST are printed and shipped within 24 business hours. Orders placed before the cutoff may ship the same day depending on production volume. Once shipped, delivery time depends on your location and the shipping carrier. Midwest orders typically arrive faster, while other U.S. states may take additional time. Tracking information is emailed as soon as your order ships.

How durable are your DTF transfers?

DTF transfers are designed for durability when applied correctly. They remain flexible, stretch with the garment, and resist cracking or peeling. Proper heat, pressure, and peel method are essential for best results. When pressed correctly, transfers hold color well and withstand repeated washing. For maximum lifespan, wash garments inside out using cold water and dry on low heat.
